Individual contribution_ Sol Exercise Exercise proposal.
Choose a music that take you to a specific place in your memory.
Focus on how each sound touches your body: Where do tou feel it? In the chest, the skin, the belly, the bones?
Write down some words that capture these sensations (buzzing in the ribs, pulling behind the eyes, sharp in the throat)
Try to reproduce it with your voice and record them, so you can ear them how many times you want.
Each person of the group used the sample with all the sounds recorded and do it owns mix.
This is my mix to my proposal.
After to a phusycal materilization to you own collage.
Reflection proposal:
What does sound to my body before I even notice it with my ears?
When I remoce the sound, what remains in the body?
Does the sound lead or follow in my creative process?
What kind of presence does silence bring?

Pasión Violento This is a small movement research practice where I created a small dance solo for a song mixed by me with sounds from every member of the Portuguese collective.

Tier 8 (15-21.09. 25) Individual Contributions swe My Inspiration for sounds
-
Surface Slowed Sound I wanted to quickly play with the sounds around me and realised that when I videoed with my phone (slow mo mode) this also slowed the sound in play back. It set up something interesting with the audio and visual all at once.
-
Memory Assemblage This audio created by me is a result of a mix of all vocal contributions of the Portuguese collective. These sounds were created from a personal affective memory connected to a song that is relevant for us.
-
Vibratory As part of the exercise ‘Vibratory’ proposed by Aura to the rest of the collective
-
Aura holding Ayango Short exercise action with the sound created by Aura for Sol’s exercise on music and memory

Development This is an example of developing, that comes from inspiration - coincidence and spontaneous decision making.
- It was raining
- Storm started
- No people in the streets
- An inspiration to go outside
- Observe the situation
- Begin with the movement inspired by the rain, empty streets, thunder storm.

Summer audience diary. (Week 7 contribution) I decided to make a Summer audience diary. Sharing my thoughts about the experience throughout summer. Summer was full of audiences. I kept meeting them, losing them, looking at them, feeling them, wondering who was watching whom.
-
Variation 3 Here I play more with the association of a burning flame which, similar to a tree, is also rooted in place and moves upward
-
Variation 2 Bringing the movement up into a hand balance (supported by a wall)
-
Variation 1 Bringing the quality of the image into my body, I opted to start with a shoulder balance to explore it
-
Source of inspiration To illustrate a creative process I sometimes go through, I’ve chosen this tree. I found it visually striking while passing by and reminded me of a burning bush.
-
It doesn’t reach me and it’s cold This is how I lately feel a lot of times when I go to performances with classical seating. It’s too cold and too far for me, I want to experience the performance, not just watch it. Also, a lot of times chairs are very uncomfortable.
This has made me realise that in my new research I really want to focus on audience engagement and experience.
-
A very precise score This is a very precise score in a shape of a poem that anyone can do (only if they are in the exact same situation as I was in the moment of writing it).
This is my artistic reflection on art structures defined by capitalism and patriarchy that try to put everything in boxes and tables and forgets that a huge part of art is all those things we can’t describe.
-
My audience passes me by Participatory performance in a public space where the audience only engages with the happening while they are passing by.
